Hey guys, thanks for being here!
So what do I mean by my pillars?
Well, it’s a very odd thing but a brilliant personal growth strategy that I do to clear things up in my life. I can get so stuck and so unmotivated, even lost.
It’s an awful feeling yet this self improvement method pushes me to overcome obstacles and get on the right track.
It’s easy!
List down all the key areas in your life and things you want to work on. If you’re like me and need a white board to visualise and have a constant reminder of my potential for some odd reassurance, then go for it.
You could use post notes and journal anything that suits you.
Seeing My Potential Creating a Board
This is a completely personal thing, yet it could be anything. Areas you need to work on, things that need to be brought to your attention. Reminders of who you are when you get caught up. Anything.
The first thing on my board is ‘physical’; this is an area I need to work on. Underneath I wrote what I’m going to do.
The second ‘mental’ sometimes we can get so caught up in our thoughts, we almost have a breakdown, underneath mental I wrote ‘walks and journaling’ (if you love journaling, sign up to my newsletter for exciting news!). I did both of these this morning, I felt like I couldn't function without doing these first things.
Journaling brings such clarity. It motivates, helps you align with your purpose, see your future so clearly and helps you manifest it.
Diet of course is up there, I’ve been meal prepping salads to keep up with eating healthy. It’s so important to eat your greens well. All know that but it’s for the glow, the energy and positive mindset, without a good balanced diet, it’s almost impossible.
For me I need a sport, I chose golf. It's great for mindfulness and sport is also a way to connect with others and spend time with your friends which is next on my list.
I can’t stress it enough, it's so important. I love spending time with my friends. Last night I was going over activities my friend and I could do. Wreath making was top on the list, we soon found out it's pretty much a rip off to spend £50 -70 on a class when supplies are less than £10 and all you need to do is walk in the forest - for free.
Yet it’s about the experience, I’d rather go for a walk then have cocktails with twigs.
Relationship, we're in a waiting era. It's a great opportunity to work on myself and the direction I want to go, so I can meet someone that aligns with that. I won't just date for the sake of it, the right things will find me.
Work, obviously this is the best job ever, something I'm creating that helps others that makes me happy and serves the greater good. If you wrote your life down from 0 - 90, a timeline for every 10 years, where you are now to your retirement and if you hate what you do, that's a lot of your life wasted. You might as well find a new skill, something that you love and work in a job you love and if you feel like that's impossible for you, it will be.
Yet it’s possible to follow your dream.
Community is something I’m getting better at, I used to thrive for this. I became so introverted when I wasn't on the right track, something I was completely unaware of. It’s like my mental health consumed me and I was a split second away from an anxiety attack. It took a few years to come out of it. Self love is key. I was lucky enough to have someone to see the light in me and it made it okay for me to be myself. I started to do beach cleans and I'm setting myself up to take part in charity events (mainly golf).
There is so much more you can do, find out what it is that makes you happy, that you can do and focus on that.
Thanks so much for reading x
